One name, one scan, six results to sort
RepCheck is the new tool in this launch. It searches public web results for your own name, groups the identity clues, separates namesakes, evaluates the tone of what it finds, and gives a practical next step for every finding. This sample is Quinn's real scan: a mild result, kept exactly as it came back.

The signal, and what sits behind it

Signal 79 out of 100. Read on screen as "Mostly clear, worth a review."
The counts behind the signal. 6 reviewed, 3 possible matches, 0 need attention.
The caveat is printed on the screen itself. "This signal reflects the tone of results that appear to match you. It does not verify that a page is true or complete."
All six findings
Every finding carries a tone tag, a match tag, a reason it may match, and a practical next step. The six from this scan:
| Result | Tags | Why it may match | Practical next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| About: Author Quinn Avery quinnavery.com | Unclear · Possible Match · Other | Automated review could not classify this result. | Open the result and check whether it refers to you. |
| Quinn Avery on Flickr flickr.com | Neutral · Possible Match · Social | Generic name match; no distinguishing professional or location data provided. | Verify if the Flickr account owner matches the subject's known interests or locations. |
| Quinn Avery's profiles on IDCrawl idcrawl.com | Neutral · Possible Match · Directory | Generic people search aggregator; does not confirm identity beyond name match. | Review linked profiles for matching employment or location details. |
| Quinn Avery, Church of the Canyons, on LinkedIn linkedin.com | Neutral · Unlikely Match · Professional | Subject location is Canada; candidate is located in 90006 (California). | Ignore this profile as location data contradicts the subject's country. |
| avery quinn (@averygoodwinq) on Instagram instagram.com | Neutral · Unlikely Match · Social | Name order is "avery quinn"; subject is "Quinn Avery". | Ignore unless profile explicitly confirms the subject's identity. |
| Author Quinn Avery quinnavery.com | Positive · Unlikely Match · Professional | Subject is in Canada; candidate is a US based author from Minnesota with 40+ novels. | Ignore this profile as it does not match the subject's location. |

Sorting a namesake, before and after
The first finding is a real namesake: an author named Quinn Avery. The automated review could not classify it, so it sat at the top of the list as a possible match, waiting for a human decision. Quinn's decision was "Not me."

The finding is retagged, not deleted. It now reads Unclear, Not You, and drops to the bottom of the list, still visible in the review.
Possible matches fall from 3 to 2. The signal moves from 79 to 84, and the scan history records the updated score.

One page holds the whole check
The results page is the output: the signal and its counts, the evidence review with all six findings, your decisions on each one, and the scan history. Work the list, and the page updates as each possible match is confirmed or dismissed.
Working a RepCheck result
Decide every possible match. Open the result, then mark it This is me or Not me. Matches stay labelled possible until you do.
Follow the next step on each finding. Every finding names one practical action: verify an account, review linked profiles, or ignore a result that contradicts your details.
Scan again before you apply. A fresh scan shows whether the signal moved, and the history keeps both results.
This sample had zero findings needing attention, so there is no fix to demonstrate. When a finding does need attention, the same per finding next step is where the work starts.
A self-check, not a background check
- Self-check only. RepCheck reviews your own public footprint. The results page says it plainly: "Public web results only. RepCheck is reputation triage, not a background check or credit report."
- The signal reflects the tone of results that appear to match you. It does not verify that a page is true or complete.
- Matches are labelled possible or unlikely until you confirm them. The tool sorts and suggests; you decide what is actually you.
- Findings link to live public pages. A namesake's public page is a real page about a real person, which is the point of separating them from your own.
Included on every plan
RepCheck is included on every plan, the free Snapshot included, with no usage limit. Run it before a job search, after a name change in your public profiles, or any time you want to see yourself the way a search shows you.
